3 Cool Android Phone Tricks that You Might Not Know

Android is the most popular mobile OS and since most of us are using android devices, I am going to tell you some small tricks that can make your android experience even better without any need of third party apps.

1. Android phone, just like any phone OS has a dialler that has alphabets on dialler buttons. Do you know that you can use these alphabets to just type in the name of the person you want to call and the phone number of that person from your phone book will automatically become available for dialling. For example I want to call John and there is a phone book entry for John in my phone. Now traditional way of calling John will be going to phone book then scrolling to letter J then looking for John then clicking on the name and then pressing the dial button. Pretty long process just to call a person, isn’t it? Now the short cut way to do is by simply opening your dialler and instead of typing the John phone number, type the name John using by pressing 5646 as these keys will together form the word “John”. As soon as you will start typing 5646 you will see the John number ready for dialling. Just press and dial button and you are done. In similar way you can type any name that is in your phone book in dialler and its number will appear for dialling.
2. Android allows you to add as many alarms as you want with custom week day selection. You can make use of this feature to add reminders. For example if you are a teacher and want to make sure you don’t miss any period, you can add an alarm for every period you have and set it to repeat on the specific week day. Who needs a dedicated reminder app when your default alarm can do that?
3. Did you know that your android smartphone is equipped with much better quality LCD display than your laptop? If you are purchasing any clothes online or anything where colour of the product matters, just check that product on your phone first. Your phone will show much accurate colours of that product than your laptop. This is one of the reasons online stores push their mobile app a lot and want their users to buy from the app instead of desktop site.
